Chevelle

Chevelle was formed in the year 1994 by three brothers Pete, Sam, and Joe Loeffler. They are a Chicago based band, who so far have come out with a total of four studio albums and eleven singles.
It’s been a little over ten years since Chevelle released their first record, Point #1. The record that gave them their “big” break was Wonder What’s Next
. That record pumped out the singles “The Red”, ”Send the Pain Below”, and ”Closure”.
In the year 2004, Chevelle came out with the album This Type Of Thinking (Could Do Us In), with such hits as “Vitamin R (Leading Us Along)” and “The Clincher”. Their fourth and most recent album to date is Vena Sera. The two songs “I get It” and “Well Enough Alone” are the better known singles of this record.
I absolutely love listening to these guys. Their music is so strong and passionate that when you listen to it, you can tell that they love what they’re doing. That makes it infinitely better to listen to, when you know something is made from real emotion as opposed to just trying to make some bank, or become famous.
Here is a list (in no particular order) of some of my favorite Chevelle songs. If you haven’t heard some of these before, please check them out!
1. “Skeptic”
2. “Antisaint”
3. “Long”
4. “Saturdays”
7. “The Red”
8. “I Get It”
9. “Blank Earth”
I would like to point something out for any of you who may have noticed that I did not include any songs from the This Type Of Thinking (Could Do Us In) album. This isn’t because I didn’t enjoy any of those songs, but in fact the opposite. The entire record is awesome and I couldn’t choose just a couple songs. I guess it’s safe to say that it’s my favorite Chevelle record released so far.
I hope Chevelle comes out with some more stuff soon, I know I for one can’t wait to hear what’s next from them!
