Alternative Music Blog Meets Hero’s For Hire

It’s a very rare occurrence for me to instantly fall head over heels for a band. I was struck so suddenly by the band Hero’s For Hire. I can honestly say that I am so ecstatic to be fortunate enough to have heard their music, and to have had the chance to speak with them as well.
The first email I received from Charlie, (the lead vocalist) had some really powerful words in it. Their outlook on music and life is just so positive and refreshing. I felt compelled to check them out on their myspace page, and I was pleasantly surprised. Twenty seconds into the song Emily’s Green Dress was all it took for me to be hooked. I literally got out of my chair to start dancing! After that song was over I listened to every other song they had, and they were all unique.
It’s not hard to tell how they have come up with such great music once you hear some of the bands that have inspired them. They have listed everything from The Beatles to the Foo Fighters, and many in between.
Let me give you a brief background of these guys. They call Connecticut their home, and have been around for a few years. Currently the band consists of Charlie, Vince, and Dave. They have some EP’s available on Itunes, and you can also check out their myspace page as well. They plan on starting to record a new album very soon, which I can not wait to hear. Shortly after they’re done recording, they have plans to do a national tour. They are not signed with any label at the moment, everything they are working on now they are doing themselves.
After exchanging several emails with Charlie and Vince (the drummer extraordinaire) I have come to the conclusion that they might be one of the coolest new up and coming bands. They are incredibly funny and witty, and hold nothing back. They have firm beliefs about their music, and want nothing to compromise the individuality of it. This band gets a gold star for their purely genuine awesome attitudes, as well as their great music.
