To kick off the summer, I thought it might be fun to have a series of blogs talking about some of my favorite artists.  There are just too many awesome artists and bands out there to narrow it down to one blog!  Over the next few weeks I’ll be naming some of the best, everything from A to Z.
Before I begin, I want to start with naming some of my favorite non alphabet bands.  These are bands that won’t be in the A-Z because they begin with numbers or something other than a letter.
311 might be my favorite out of this list.  A lot of their music is more laid back chillax style, which is nice.  Mix in some energetic tunes into the laid backness, and you always end up with a good time.
10 Years is another awesome band.  These guys are on the heavier side of alternative, and they bring some explosive and strong sounds mixed with some great lyrics.
30 Seconds to Mars offers a different type of sound.  They are always evolving, and who would have thought that Jared Leto could sing!

Finally, I cannot forget 3 Doors Down.  With many many hits, these guys have proven time and time again that they rock.
